Mission California Democratic Clubs are the grassroots of our Party. The aim of our network is to help the clubs grow, share resources, and reach out effectively to their communities. A perennial problem of the clubs -- not only here in California but nationwide -- has been how to remain active and effective in between elections. Clubs come to life for a while prior to an election, but may fall dormant at other times. We believe that networking, around issues as well as candidates, can help clubs prosper year-round. As Democrats recognize, life is a web of relationships. Economics, technology, medicine, government, communities, and the environment link our lives one to another. Indeed, for any issue that a club committee, caucus, or individual club member takes up, chances are that there are people in other clubs who share that interest. Through the network we can meet one another, coordinate our activities, and amplify our influence locally, statewide, and nationwide. Democrats throughout the state make up an amazing knowledgeable and diverse community. We can assist one another with club activities ranging from precinct walking to fundraising, planning club meetings or other public events, obtaining speakers, building websites, organizing house parties, and developing campaign materials. Building community is our mission. Our clubs are more than individual instruments of political will – they can form a broad community that provides meaning and connection, and helps us realize our political hopes and dreams. Creating a Democratic club network here in California (which can serve as a model for networking the clubs in other states also) is a first step toward building a broad movement for social change that can transform American political life nationwide. This networking project aims to partner with the California Democratic Council (CDC), and to work closely with other statewide Democratic organizations, including: * Progressive Caucus-California Democratic Party * Take Back Red California * Assembly district Democratic committees * County Democratic committees * Alliance for a Better California * Committee to Protect California's Future * Democracy for America * Progressive Democrats of America * Project Bluebridge Thank you for joining us in this effort!
