Issue Committees These are among the statewide committees we aim to build: * Healthcare * Peace * Environment * Labor * Princinct Organizing * Voters' Rights/Election Reform The first issue that we are taking up is healthcare. The prospect is this: Democratic clubs, caucuses, other Democratic Party organizations, and individuals can use this committee structure to network our activities, thereby making us all more effective. Sometimes Democrats in one club may "re-invent a wheel" that is already rolling well in another club. There's no need to do that! Resource sharing and other forms of mutual support can help us develop, articulate, and advocate effectively on behalf of specific issues. If you are involved with a particular issue or interest and would like to gather with like-minded others, this network can help you. Form a new committee, if you'd like! Democratic clubs, committees (whether at the club, county, or assembly district level), caucuses, and all activists are invited to join and make use of this committee structure. We request that all clubs inform us of their activities and plans, so that we can post this information in the committee section of this website. |
